Gone are the days of sitting still and saying cheeeeeeese. My approach to your session is kept the mood casual, and at the children’s pace. We will walk, joke, blow bubbles, or sing songs..whatever it takes to break the ice and capture real smiles.

I photograph the whole family together, children together, children individually and parents together. Dogs are always welcome to join!

This session is shot in studio or at a prime outdoor location.

Indoor Portrait Studio

Where is the studio located?

Cambridge, MN. On the second floor of the Thistle & Ivory Store, located on main street.

What to wear to a studio portrait session?

Whites, and lighter colors. Pastels are your friend!

Why do an indoor portrait session?

Climate control, and not being dependent on the weather is one great reason to book your session indoors. The studio is smaller and limited to family groups of 5 or less.

What happens at an outdoor family session?

Have fun, take photos! The session is a mixture of posed images, and room to play around for candid images. You are instructed every step of the way, while I am capturing genuine activities…and fun!

What do I wear to an outdoor family session?

Desaturated neutrals, natural fibers, weather appropriate clothing is a great starting point. Depending on the season and location, I can consult with you about what colors and fits work best.

How many photos will I get from the full family session?

You will receive 45 high resolution images, copyright free. These images will be chosen by you in the proofing gallery.

How soon after the family session will I receive the images?

The proofing gallery will be available within 7 days after the session. Once you make your final image choices the images will be fully edited and delivered to you within 7 days.

What photo sessions are best in the studio?

Newborn, maternity, and younger children. Outdoor sessions can be hectic for some small kiddos, and the studio is less stimulating. Bonus, there is no chance of passing a jungle gym on the way to your session.

Does it cost more to have my session shot in the studio space?

Nope. There is no upcharge for shooting in the studio space.
