The High School Senior // Portrait session
The senior session is an important milestone for every high school senior, and it’s my job to not only capture you at your best, but make it as fun as possible along the way. You may be the type that “isn’t that into” having their photo taken, or the type that has a stacked pinterest board of ideas.. I pride myself in catering to both. I can be concise and get what we need, or I can indulge a creative whimsey. Either way, it’s about making you shine and creating a collection of images that truly reflect who you are!
When you inquire I can answer any looming questions you may have on the process, cross check our availability and go over the basic prep for your senior session. I like to give a general clothing guide as to what looks best in camera, but encourage students to wear what they feel best in. Once a date is set, payment is made, you are all set for your session.
The day of the session we will meet at the communicated location. Locations are usually determined by the seasonal landscapes and the lighting that day offers. I typically choose the location as lighting and landscapes are a major factor in creating steller images. That being said I like to lean into the vibes of the clothing you bring to your session, this has always worked for my clients.
Now the fun begins, photographing your senior session! I am encouraging and guiding you every step of the way to capture your best as candidly as possible. This means less stiff posing and more moving, grooving and being yourself. We begin to shoot a variety of images both traditional and candid. The session usually lasts between 1-1.5 hours depending on travel time and clothing changes.
Post session I lightly edit the images and create a proofing gallery for you to select your 45 favorites for the final edit and retouch. Once the images are delivered they are yours to print when and where you please. The session investment is $375 and due at the time of booking.
Senior sessions are typically photographed between July-September, session booking is done between April-June.
